Durango Bag It!

The Durango City Council has, as a result of the Durango Bag It campaign, established a task force made of up citizens and city staff to look at the details of a city ordinance to ban single use plastic bags. As we move through this process, there are a number of things you can do to help City Council make the "right" decision around ridding SW Colorado of plastic bags and help move our community towards more responsible consumption.

Letters to the Editors are an important barometer to our elected officials, so please write. The more the merrier.

1) Write Letters to the Editor to both The Durango Herald and The Telegraph. It can be the same letter. Posting websites are listed below
